Free Food & Discounts for Vets and Active Duty!

I just want to say Thank You to all Veterans and Active Duty Military. Along with your families too!  You have done so much for this country and it will never be forgotten.  In appreciation of today several restuarants and retail shops are offering FREE items and discounts to Veterans and Active Duty. Make sure you have a form of military ID (just in case) and be sure to call ahead to see if your restaurant or retail store is participating.

Restaurants

Applebee’s – Free dinners to veterans throughout Veterans Day, November 11th, at participating restaurants.  Dine-in from limited menu only. Beverages and gratuity not included. Veterans and active duty military simply show proof of military service.
McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants – For the 12th year running, participating restaurants in the national seafood chain offer a complimentary entree to vets from a special menu. Space is limited so online reservations are strongly recommended.
Outback Steakhouse – FREE Bloomin’ Onion and Beverage to veterans and active duty members.
Golden Corral – Free buffet dinner from 5-9 p.m. on Nov. 16 to anyone who has ever served in the U.S. military Staff.
Subway -On Veterans Day, November 11, Subway is showing its thanks with free six inch subs to all Veterans or Active Duty members.
Krispy Kreme – One free doughnut of any variety to all veterans and active military personnel.
UNO Chicago Grill- Free entree or individual pizza with an entree or pizza purchase of equal or greater value to veterans and active duty members of the military.
Cheeseburger in Paradise: FREE Entree! The FREE entrée will be any entrée, burger, salad or sandwich of your choice. Must have U.S. Uniform Services Identification Card, U.S. Uniform Services Retired Identification Card, Current Leave and Earnings Statement (LES), Veterans Organization Card (i.e., American Legion and VFW, Photograph in Uniform or Wearing Uniform).
Chili’s: Special Menu for veterans and active duty military to eat FREE from on 11/11. Must show proof of service.
Famous Dave’s BBQ- Participating restaurants are offering a FREE meal to all active and retired military personnel (up to $15 value).
Outback Steakhouse: Get a  free Bloomin’ Onion and non-alcoholic beverage on 11/11. This is available nationwide to all Veterans and active military members with ID.
Texas Roadhouse: Veterans and active military choose a free meal off the “early dining menu”.  Come anytime on 11/11 and show military ID.
Arby’s: Veterans and active military can snag a FREE hot Regular Roast Beef Sandwich during regular business hours today, November 11th. You must be in military uniform or have US military ID. Keep in mind that this offer is only valid the in the following states: OK, AR, MO, KS, IL (STL area) & CO (Colorado Springs/Pueblo).
Hooters: Veterans and active duty military eat free from a special menu (up to an $8.49 value) all day Thursdsay, November 11th.
Hyvee: Veterans can snag a free breakfast buffet at any Hyvee supermarket with in-store dining on November 11th from 7AM-11AM. Some stores even have planned programs, displays, entertainment or other activities to go along with the breakfast; check with local stores for details.
Uno Chicago Grill: Veterans and active duty military can snag a free individual pizza or entree with the purchase of an entree or pizza of equal or greater price. No coupon necessary; just show up in uniform or with a picture of you in uniform or with a military or veteran’s ID.

Retail

Sports Clips HaircutsThe chain salon for men of all ages is offering a free haircut to active military and veterans on Nov. 11 at participating Sports Clips locations.
Foot LockerU.S. Active Duty Military, National Guard, Reserves, veterans and their families with Foot Locker Veterans Advantage Cards receive a 20-percent discount every day of the year. That offer is good both online and at any store location, including Foot Locker, Lady Foot Locker, Kids Foot Locker, Footaction and Champs Sports — even on sale items.
Brides Across America – Provides free wedding gowns to qualified military brides.
Lowe’s & Home Depot – Extra 10% off to active-duty military members, National Guard and reserve members, retirees, honorably discharged veterans and immediate family members.
Sam’s Club – Over 25,000 Hugo canes will be given away to U.S. veterans in need of mobility assistance.  Membership is not required, but supplies are limited, so check with your local store.
Amazon – Free “Veterans Day Honor” MP3 album download.  The album includes 12 songs by The Bands and Ensembles of the U.S. Armed Forces.
Cabela’s Outdoor Store – Offers their employee discount to all veterans, active-duty military and reserves, law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel November 11-12.  Discounts vary from 5% to 50%, depending on the item.
Build-a-Bear Workshop – Members of the armed services including the Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force, Coast Guard, and Reserve Officer Training Corps, will receive a 20% discount November 11-15 on any one transaction at Build-A-Bear Workshop.
Dollar General – 10% off your total purchase on November 11 for all veterans, active-duty military, National Guard and reserve and their immediate families.
Fashion Bug – 20% off all plus-size and misses clothing purchases with a copy of military ID or spouse’s military ID.
