CollegeAdvantage $100 Scholarship Giveaway - 2 Winners!

Finding the perfect gift for a child or grandchild can be challenge. However, there is one gift that every child needs and is guaranteed to last a lifetime – a college education. For as little as $25, families can enroll and start saving in Ohio’s 529 plan, CollegeAdvantage, and begin preparing financially for their child or grandchild’s college education.

In addition, CollegeAdvantage is also offering an exciting promo through the end of the year. When you sign up using the promo code “GETSTARTED”, $25 will automatically be deposited into your account.  Also, if you opt to sign up for the auto pay feature, you will receive an additional $25 after the third $25 deposit you make through payroll deduction or electronic fund transfers (EFT)

Ohioans who enroll and contribute to a College Advantage account by the end of the year can take advantage of Ohio’s $2,000 annual state income tax deduction.  Any Ohio taxpayer who contributes to a CollegeAdvantage account can claim the deduction including grandparents. Up to $2,000 per contributor (or married couple) can be deducted for each child and contributions over $2,000 can be deducted in future years. In addition to the state tax deduction, earnings are exempt from state and federal taxes when the funds are used for higher education expenses.

Families can open a CollegeAdvantage direct account by going online or by calling 1-800-AFFORD-IT (233-6734) and requesting an enrollment kit.
